Top 10 richest self-made women in China

So many people dream of a day when they will be incredibly rich; however, for quite a number of people, that day is never going to come. Still though, we can all see the lives of the wealthy and wonder what it would be like for us. Here are 10 of the richest women in China.

Rich Chinese woman – Wu Yajun

1. Zhang Yin

China Daily’s article “Top 10 Self-Made Richest Women in China,” written by Zhao Tingting, points to Zhang Yin as the most wealthy. The article notes that this woman is $5.6 billion, and her wealth is a result of her position as the founder of Nine Dragons Paper in the country of China.

2. Wu Yajun

Not only is Wu wealthy in China, but she has also made a global presence for herself. Tingting writes, “Wu ranks as the second wealthiest woman in the world, with an estimated personal fortune of 28 billion yuan.”

3. Chan Laiwa

Tingting also points to this 69 year old woman as one of the wealthiest. She is the head of the Fu Wah International Group, and this group is based in Hong Kong. With so many people around, Laiwa has really been able to make a name for herself.

4. Xiuli Hawken

Here is a 47 year old by whom to be impressed. Tingting notes, “She is the biggest shareholder in Renhe Commercial Holdings, a developer of underground shopping malls.” Not only is she wealthy, but she has investment in something that is truly intriguing to her country and the world.

5. Chu Lam Yiu

One last woman in China who is discussed in Tingting’s article is Chu Lam Yiu. She is the fifth richest woman in China, but she is also the seventh richest woman in the entire world. Tingting explains that her worth is estimated at 18 billion yuan.

6. Lu Xiaomei

Another article about this subject is from China.org, and the author, Lin Liyao, discusses Lu Xiaomei in this piece entitled “Top 10 Wealthiest Women in China 2012.” In United States dollars, this particular individual is worth $2.4 billion. Quite a number of people would like to have that number next to their name!

7. Wu Xuegin

Liyao also mentions Wu Xuegin, who is famous for her role in the production of certain food products. In fact, it is these food products that made her so wealthy and worth $2.5 billion in United States dollars. She also has a hand in the real estate industry.

Another woman, Zhao Baoju, gets a lot of emphasis from Liyao. Baoju is noted for her accomplishments in the fields of “gas distribution, real estate and pharmaceuticals.”

Chen Chuemi is number six on Liyao’s list. This woman is worth $2.8 billion United States dollars, and her wealth has come from her video surveillance products and creations.

10. Zhang Xin

One more woman from Liyao is Zhang Xin, who is worth $3 billion United States dollars for her accomplishments in real estate.
