Chinese ancient costume TV series is very popular in China. In my previous post I made a list of the top 10 most beautiful women in Ancient Chinese clothing. Here is my list of the most handsome men in traditional Chinese costume.

Nice choices. Not something I’d like to agonize over myself. Too much work. There are many good-looking actors in the industry who have been in costume drama, including Zhang Han (Heroes of Sui and Tang, and some of the not so good series like Phoenix … ), Lin Gengxin (Bu bu jing xin), Roy Qiu (Liao Zhai), Kevin Cheng (Bu bu jing xin), Alex Fong (Fox volant of snowy mountain; many movies & series), etc. Some might not be as good looking in still pictures, but possess good screen presence: Huang Xiaoming (Han dynasty, Yue Fei, Condor Heroes), Yuan Hong (Yang family saga, bu bu jing xin, Chinese Paladin 3, Liao Zhai), Lu Yi (3 kingdoms, Palace 3; several movies and many other TV series), Nicholas Tse (Handsome Siblings; other series, many movies), Vincent Zhao (Taichi Master with Raymond Lam; many action movies). Ron Ng (The Four), Wen Zhang (Journey to the West movie sequel with Shu Qi; many other series and movies), Daniel Wu (The Banquet, many movies) are also fine in period drama. There are a lot of others, but maybe not all of them had been in costume series. Some others are often overlooked due to various reasons: Wang Xueqi, Chen Jianbin (3 kingdoms), Deng Chao (Heaven sword dragon sabre series; The 4 movies), a lot of others.
